Free CVC Word Search Puzzles (Printable PDFs + Answer Keys)

Two free CVC word searches for early readers, each a printable PDF with the answer key on page two. Every word is consonant, vowel, consonant. The first sheet has CAT, DOG, HAT, PIG, SUN and seven more, and the second has another fifteen, from bat and bug to web and van.

Children sound out each word as they find it, which turns the search into blending practice. The word list is easy and suits children from about 5 up, and between them the two sheets use all five short vowels.
