About the Esther word search
When the king's official HAMAN plots against the Jews, Esther asks her people to join her in FASTING, then shows great COURAGE by going to the king unasked. He holds out his golden SCEPTER, and at a BANQUET in the PALACE she reveals the plot. Jewish families still celebrate the rescue each year at PURIM, when the scroll of Esther, the Megillah, is read aloud. The word list runs easy-to-medium and suits children from about 7 up.
