Free Hispanic Heritage Month Word Search Puzzles (Printable PDFs + Answer Keys)

Hispanic Heritage Month runs from 15 September to 15 October in the United States, and these two free word searches make an easy classroom or kitchen-table activity for it. Each is a printable PDF with the answer key on page two. The first sheet, Hispanic Heritage Heroes, hides famous names: labor leaders Cesar CHAVEZ and Dolores HUERTA, Justice Sonia SOTOMAYOR, painters Frida KAHLO, Diego RIVERA and Pablo PICASSO, baseball great Roberto CLEMENTE, astronaut Ellen OCHOA, singers CELIA CRUZ and SELENA, actor Rita MORENO, poets Pablo NERUDA and Gabriela MISTRAL, Simon BOLIVAR and Lin-Manuel MIRANDA.

The second sheet turns to music, dance and food: SALSA, MERENGUE, CUMBIA, TANGO and FLAMENCO, a MARIACHI band and a GUITAR, then TAMALES, EMPANADAS, AREPAS, PUPUSAS, PAELLA, CHURROS and fried PLANTAINS under strings of PAPEL PICADO.
