Homecoming week in American high schools and colleges usually lands in September or October, and these free word searches cover both halves of it. The first is game day: the PARADE with its FLOATS and the MARCHING BAND, ALUMNI coming back to TAILGATE, the STADIUM BLEACHERS, CHEERLEADERS and the MASCOT, KICKOFF, a TOUCHDOWN, the HALFTIME show, the SCOREBOARD and the BONFIRE the night before.
The second is the rest of the week: SPIRIT WEEK dress-up days like TWIN DAY, the PEP RALLY in SCHOOL COLORS, the homecoming COURT with its KING, QUEEN, CROWN and SASH, then the dance itself, with a CORSAGE and BOUTONNIERE, MUMS, the PHOTO BOOTH, the DANCE FLOOR and the SLOW DANCE. Use them in advisory or student council meetings. The word list runs easy-to-medium and suits students from about 10 up. Each printable PDF has the answer key on page two.
