Download and print free November word searches — fifteen puzzles covering Thanksgiving dinner and its traditions, the Mayflower and the pilgrims, Veterans Day, Native American Heritage Month, the harvest, autumn leaves and the Black Friday scramble. Every puzzle is a free PDF with the answer key included, sized for standard printer paper.
Each grid is built from its own corner of the month rather than one long list of Thanksgiving words. The dinner puzzle hides the WISHBONE and the CENTERPIECE. The Mayflower puzzle hides PLYMOUTH and the SPEEDWELL. The harvest puzzle goes looking for a CORNUCOPIA and a BUSHEL, and the leaves grid buries DECIDUOUS and CRIMSON.
Can you spot RESERVATION, CULTURE and ANCESTOR?
15 words to find, starting with CORNBREAD and MASHEDPOTATO.
From RECIPES to TURKEYTROT, 15 words are hiding in this grid.
Thanksgiving, the Harvest and Everything Else
Thanksgiving takes the largest share — the dinner itself, the traditions around it, the turkey and the pilgrims who started it. November is also Native American Heritage Month, so there are grids for that and for the tribes. Veterans Day gets its own puzzle, and the rest of the month is autumn: falling leaves, the harvest festival, cold-snap weather and a squirrel laying in supplies.
What’s in Every Puzzle
Each download is a two-page PDF: the puzzle grid on page one, the completed answer key on page two. Fifteen words per grid, hidden in every direction. Nothing to sign up for and nothing to install — click a card, print the page.
How to Use These November Word Searches
Teachers tend to print a stack at the start of the month and save the Thanksgiving grids for the last week before the break. If you want more of one theme there is a full Thanksgiving collection, a fall and autumn collection, an American history collection, and a word search for every month of the year.
