Recovery, in any part of life, is mostly made of small steps, and these two free word searches use encouraging words to mark them. The first sheet holds HOPE, HEALING, COURAGE and STRENGTH, PATIENCE and PERSEVERANCE, a FRESH START, each MILESTONE of PROGRESS, RENEWAL and GROWTH, the SUPPORT of FRIENDS, WELLNESS, and the reminder to take things ONE DAY AT A TIME.

The second sheet uses the everyday vocabulary of talking things through with a COUNSELOR or THERAPIST: the SESSION, TALKING, setting GOALS, COPING ideas, a JOURNAL, a moment to BREATHE, GROUNDING, a CHECK IN, a SAFE SPACE, TRUST, VALIDATION, INSIGHT and a kind AFFIRMATION. These are quiet activity sheets for groups, waiting rooms or a calm evening; they are not a treatment or a substitute for professional support.
